Our Story

PangSapaTrekking was born from a simple passion: sharing the extraordinary beauty and rich culture of Sapa with travelers from around the world. Founded over a decade ago by local guides who grew up in these mountains, we've built our reputation on authentic experiences, deep local knowledge, and genuine hospitality that reflects the spirit of northern Vietnam.

Our founder, Pang, spent his childhood exploring every trail, valley, and peak in the Hoang Lien Son mountain range. What started as guiding a few backpackers through rice terraces has grown into a respected trekking company that employs dozens of local guides and supports multiple village communities. Despite our growth, we've never lost sight of our core mission: creating meaningful connections between travelers and the remarkable landscape and people of Sapa.

Every member of our team is from the Sapa region, bringing firsthand knowledge of trails, weather patterns, cultural traditions, and hidden gems that only locals know. This authenticity is what sets us apart—when you trek with us, you're not just following a guide, you're walking with someone who calls these mountains home and genuinely loves sharing them with visitors.

Founder & Lead Guide

Born and raised in Sapa, Pang has been guiding for 15 years and knows every trail in the region. His expertise in local ecology, history, and culture makes every trek educational as well as adventurous. Speaks English, French, and several local dialects.

Linh

Senior Guide

Specializes in multi-day treks and Fansipan expeditions. Linh's calm demeanor and mountain expertise make her ideal for challenging routes. She's also an advocate for women's education in remote villages and leads our community outreach programs.

Mai

Cultural Guide

From the H'mong community, Mai brings deep cultural knowledge to every trek. She facilitates authentic village interactions, translates local languages, and shares traditional stories passed down through generations. Perfect for culture-focused tours.

Adventure Guide

Our youngest guide but already highly experienced, Tuan is energetic, enthusiastic, and great with families and young travelers. He's also our photography specialist, knowing all the best viewpoints and lighting conditions for stunning shots.
